a tiny Squat Lobster peeks from its home in the reef (photo 9A)

This tiny creature (the hole is about 1/4 inch wide) is actually a crab, but is commonly known as a squat lobster because of it's long chelipeds (arms). I had to be very still to get this shot-- these creatures are easily frightened, and the only way to get a good image is to keep the scuba bubbles to a minimum and be patient.

Galathea sp.
