This nudibranch has a tough dorsal layer, unlike the majority of nudibranchs. Taken with a Nikonos V w/macro 1:1 lens setup with Nikonos strobe (SB-103 or SB-102). Warty knots are characteristic of the Phyllidia genus of nudibranchs. This one closely resembles, but is not identical to, Phyllidia varicosa. Special thanks to Dr. David J.
