Anemonefish with shrimp in host anemone

Anemonefish are not the only creatures that are symbiotic with sea anemones. This small anemone shrimp is plainly in view among the tentacles, though often they are not quite so visible because they usually hide underneath or in-between the tentacles. Other symbionts may include crabs (see picture of "
porcelain crabs") and damselfish. Additionally, sea anemones are brimming with microscopic algae which provide a source of food (see an explanation of this relationship on the "healthy coral colony" page).
